Grunwaldzki Square Office Center for sale

The Ministry of Treasury invites to a public tender to purchase shares of “Centrum Biurowe Plac Grunwaldzki S.A.” (Grunwaldzki Square Office Center) with its registered office in Katowice. The final date for submitting offers for purchase of the company shares is 23rd of March 2012.

The selling of shares to the private investor is part of privatization process of the state-owned company. The principal scope of company’s business is service activity in space and parking places rental. The tender concerns 187 000 registered shares, which constitutes 85% of share capital of a company under the name of “Centrum Biurowe Plac Grunwaldzki S.A.”, of a nominal value of PLN 10,00 each.

The minimum selling price for one share is PLN 128,00, which amounts to PLN 23 936 000 for all shares sold.

The building is located in the City Center at 8-10 Grunwaldzki Sq. between Korfantego Av. and Sokolska St. within an easy reach the “Spodek” sport and exhibition hall. It was designed by the architect Janusz Ballenstedt and was built at the beginning of fifties of the last century. The architecture of the building is an example of the constructivism movement.

The facility offers approximately 13 500 sq. meters of office space over seven storeys (plus one underground floor for services and manufacturing companies) and a ground car park for 130 vehicles. According to the katowice.naszemiasto.pl portal, the building is occupied by about 80 companies, which hire 1 000 people.
