In August this year, GTC reminded about its office project on Mikołowska St. – called Mikołowska Office Center – saying the investment was still on the list of developments to be started. Now the company confirms the plan concerning the property.
On Thursday, GTC representatives spoke to journalists about its plans for 2014. „If we consider to launch any new investment outside Warsaw, it would most surely be an office building in Katowice. It is a very perspective location” – said Jacek Wachowicz, member of the board of GTC S.A., quoted by the Polish Press Agency.
„We have obtained a building permit for this project and we are able to deliver the investment in 13-14 months. The office scheme comprises two buildings offering 11-12 thousand sq. meters each. We would have to attract one tenant willing to lease half of one building at least. However, if we do not kick-off the project in 2014, it is not a problem for us” – he added.
Mikołowska Office Center is planned on a 25 917 sq. meters plot in the downtown of Katowice. The property is located close to the Youth Palace and on the opposite side of the St. Peter and Paul’s church. Dark red ceramic wall coverings, which will be used on the elevation of the office complex, refer to bricks of the church.
It would be the second office project of GTC in Katowice, after 21 500 sq. meters Francuska Office Center delivered in the middle of 2010 on Francuska St.
