Guardian Industries’ Glass Group, which belongs to the Guardian Industries Corp, has leased 600 sq. meters of office space in Altus with the possibility to extend its space with another 600 sq. meters. In the new office the tenant has located the financial shared service center – Guardian Business Solutions.
Guardian Industries’ Glass Group is a leading manufacturer of high-quality commercial, residential, interior and automotive glass products. The main focus is the production of float glass, and value-added coating and laminating technologies. The tenant moved into the Altus office building at the beginning of April 2017.
Guardian Industries’ Glass Group was represented by the international consulting company Colliers International. “Katowice as the capital of the agglomeration maintain a leading position in the region in the office space leasing market. However, it is worth emphasizing, that the strong academic center of the Silesian agglomeration provides a diverse array of qualified staff that attracts more companies both in terms of modern business services” – said Barbara Pryszcz, Katowice regional director at Colliers International.
Altus is the tallest office building in Katowice and one of the largest office-retail buildings in Poland, with the total space amounting to 69 000 sq. meters. Designed according to A class standard it comprises of three interconnected blocks, whose common component is an extensive, four-storey atrium. Altus includes not only offices but also retail points and services: cafes, restaurants, laundries, beauty salon, fitness club and squash courts. The building also houses a four-star hotel, conference center, parking with nearly 600 spaces and a car wash.
