II European Congress of SME commenced in Katowice

Lech Wałęsa, Polish president in the years 1990-1995, Jerzy Buzek, member of the European Parliament, Elżbieta Bieńkowska, Minister of Regional Development and Waldemar Pawlak, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy inaugurated today the second European Congress of Small and Medium – Size Enterprises.

The inauguration took place in the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music and gathered over 500 guests in the main hall including central and local government representatives. Participants of the event will discuss issues concerning the SME sector for four days, between 24th and 27th of September.

250 speakers from Poland and abroad will take part in over 60 panel sessions discussing modern management in micro, small and medium – size enterprise, internationalization of enterprises, innovations for SME, economic self-government and local government business. Main aim of the meeting will be to pass information on the present challenges for entrepreneurs in all management – related processes taking place in a company.

The Congress is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice.
