Investors meet the City of Katowice at MIPIM

The City of Katowice participated in the 26th edition of MIPIM, one of the world’s most important conference, exhibition, networking and transaction events of the real estate market. The business gathering was held between 10th and 13th of March 2015 in Cannes.

The same as in previous years, the City was presenting its investment offer together with the Metropolitan Association of Upper Silesia and the Marshall Office of the Silesian Voivodeship. The delegation was also attended by representatives of the Katowice Special Economic Zone and Pinnacle Poland.

According to the municipal press office, the City Hall’s representatives conducted several business meetings with developers, real estate consultants and investors, including: Colliers, Point Park Properties, Warimpex, Skanska Property, Ghelamco, Okam Capital, Vastint, Interparking, Wavteq, Deloitte, PBI, Oxford Intelligence, CTP, Leach&Lang, Norton Rose Fulbright, Decider’s and CFE.

The event was attended by the Katowice mayor, Marcin Krupa, who also took part in the Mayor’s Think Tank conference. „We are strongly committed to attract investors of different profiles. Direct meetings with potential investors of production, hotel, warehouse, housing and office developments can have an impact on their decisions about the location of new investment projects. We emphasize the huge potential of Katowice as the center of the 2-million agglomeration during these meetings” – Macin Krupa said.

„The joint participation of Pinnacle Poland and the City of Katowice in the MIPIM is a strong evidence that we think about investing in Katowice preferentially and in a long-term perspective. We want that our investment parks would be a place for high-tech companies and environmental-friendly production plants, which create well-paid workplaces for citizens of Katowice and the area” – commented Martin Carr, founder of Pinnacle Group.

Pinnacle Poland has recently signed a preliminary agreement to purchase a plot in Katowice, where one of CityFlex Business Parks would be erected.
