Bank Ochrony Środowiska S.A. (BOŚ Bank) concluded a loan agreement within the JESSICA framework. The PLN 15,5 million project embraces the “Hotel Śląski” revitalization.
The present owner of the hotel – the “Browar Mariacki” company – decided to turn out the abandoned building into a hotel facility featuring a restaurant and brewery. The property is located at 15 Mariacka St. The “Browar Mariacki” is a subsidiary established by GC Investment and a private person.
The total cost of the undertaking is estimated at PLN 15,5 million. The bank loan financed under the JESSICA agreement covers 41% of the amount – PLN 6,4 million.
The JESSICA initiative (Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Areas) is a non-grant repayable financial engineering instrument established by the European Commission, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB). BOŚ is a manager of the JESSICA funding in the Silesia Voivodeship.
The financing under the JESSICA programme enables: to create attractive bustling neighbourhoods in cities, science parks, business centers, office buildings, regeneration of derelict post-industrial areas, urbanization, or renovation of historical sites, among others.
