Górnośląskie Towarzystwo Lotnicze SA (GTL), the managing body of Katowice International Airport presented today preliminary plans of the Airport’s extension by the year 2032. Visualizations were prepared by architects of the Silesian University of Technology’s Architecture Faculty.
A prime objective of the study was to verify how the Airport’s area would look like in 20 years from now and how it will be developing during that time. The analysis also shows a sequence of the extension and location of future buildings, railway line, traffic, and passengers flow.
The presented design is a draft version. A final architectural project, including a design of the “C” terminal, will be known after an official contest.
