KTW sets another record

A daily record of handled passengers was broken at the Katowice International Airport (KTW) on Monday. 15 778 travelers used the airport within the 24 hours.

The record was beaten for the second time this year – 15 642 passengers were handled at KTW at the beginning of July. Also, the barrier of 400 thousand people that had used the airport during one month was overcame in July. There were 427 170 travelers handled at the airport. It is estimated that a similar score will be hit this month.

1 696 704 travelers used the airport between the beginning of January and end of July 2015. The traffic has increased by 14 percent when compared to the same period last year (213 159 passengers more).

This year, three million passengers will be handled at KTW for the first time in history. There are 95 routes offered by the airport at present including 35 regular and 60 charter services.
