The City of Katowice will participate in the 7th Annual World BPO/ITO Forum in New York, so called the Davos of outsourcing. The forum is an exclusive invitation-only event that gathers top decision makers of mid and large U.S. companies.

The business meeting will take place from 2nd to 3rd of June and will be attended by representatives of Apple, Microsoft, Bank of America, Associated Press, JPMorgan Chase, Merck, Procter & Gamble, among others. The City of Katowice (including the mayor Piotr Uszok) and IBM will have a special opening session on the forum’s first day. Also, the City will be represented by Marcin Nowak, delivery center director at Capgemini Infrastructure Services EE, who is going to make a speech during the Poland session. Speakers of Lublin and Poznań were also invited to the panel.

According to the organizers, ”this year’s program is positioned to deliver valuable insights and best practices for driving innovation and growth, with technology trends such as mobility, cloud, and social networks, as well as, initiate important discussions surrounding the strategic and operational challenges that executives face in developing and/or managing a successful global sourcing arrangement.” Keynote presentations will be given, for example, by vice-presidents of Dell and IGATE and group president of Procter & Gamble.

The forum will be held in the New York Athletic Club located at 180 Central Park South. Registration is obligatory and the attendance is paid. All delegates are required to be employed by global corporations and have to meet required criteria.
