MK Inwestycje, a developer seated in Katowice, starts apartments sales in its new project called Widok Apartments and announces a construction works’ start. The residential building will be developed on Widok Street near the Silesia City Center shopping complex and about 1,5 km from the “Spodek” hall. The building’s design was prepared by the Medusa Group architectural studio from Bytom. According to the investor, “Widok” will be distinguished by its architecture from among other residential projects in Katowice.
Tempered glass, the X-Tend stainless steel flexible wire mesh and the Indonesian “bangkirai” wood for terraces flooring, among other details, will be used to make the building exceptional. The construction of a glance-coal block will stand out against green cubes arranged in an irregular line. Inhabitants of the top floor will have a green terrace at disposal. – We want to work out a development which will be still well-favoured after two, three decades. We hope the architecture will attract artists, businessmen and young people. The design corresponds to the Katowice’s image as the modern City – said Bartłomiej Ślezioński, President of MK Inwestycje.
Future inhabitants can choose among 42 apartments including 37 one-storey and 4 two-storey residential premises covering an area between 37 to 210 sq. m. The building will also offer a one special three-storey apartment with an entresol. Prices starts at PLN 6 500 per square meter. An underground car park connected with the apartments by lift will have 53 places. The four-storey estate will cover a total area of 2 760 sq. m. Retail facilities are planned at the ground floor.
MK Inwestycje had previously wanted to start the project in 2008 but the economic downturn discomfited the plan. Now, the company revives the scheme. The construction works are planned to launch on the turn of May and June 2010 and will be concluded late 2011.
