Two new routes to the Canary Islands and one more weekly flight to Dubai were announced on Wednesday by Wizz Air. The two new destinations from Katowice Airport are to the islands of Tenerife and Lanzarote. The new services will be commenced on 31st of October and 3rd of November, respectively.
Two of the largest three Canary Islands, both Tenerife and Lanzarote are renowned for their sandy beaches, lush volcanic landscape and year round warm weather. „We are thrilled to announce two exciting routes from Katowice to the Canary Islands. Both Tenerife and Lanzarote are popular beach destinations with year round mild climate and family friendly resorts. With the recently announced Dubai route, Katowice customers can now choose from an increased number of sunny routes to escape winter weather” – commented Gabor Vasarhelyi, communications manager at Wizz Air.
The Tenerife route will be serviced twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. Flights to Lanzarote will take place once a week on Thurdsays. Along with adding two new winter sun destinations to its network, Wizz Air will also increase weekly frequencies on its new Katowice route to Dubai to three (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday). The newest carrier route to the United Arab Emirates was announced on 13th of April and has proven extremely popular with customers.
