New investors in KSEZ

Twenty new investment projects were acquired by the Katowice Special Economic Zone during the first half of 2015. The total worth of the projects amounts to PLN 900 million.

About 780 workplaces will be created within these twenty new investment undertakings. Three largest projects will be situated in three different regional parks of the zone, according to the Polish Press Agency.

The largest project is being prepared by NGK Ceramics in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The company specializes in manufacturing inserts for catalytic converters and ceramic cleaning filters for diesel engines. The investment cost will total about PLN 300 million, up to 260 people will be hired in the plant in the years to come.

The second large undertaking will be conducted by Mubea Automotive, which is going to manufacture disc springs and belt tensioners. The production plant will be located in Ujazd. The company will invest approximately PLN 100 million and will hire more than 350 employees by 2020.

The third investment is a production plant and warehouses of Schoeller Allibert. This company is a supplier of sustainable reusable transport packaging solutions. The site will be located in Zabrze. About 75 people will be employed.

At present, the total area of the Katowice Special Economic Zone covers 2 348 hectares, of which about 1 000 ha are still available for investments projects.
