Modernization work on one of the five buildings of the Silesian Voivodeship Office is soon to be finished. The 11-storey office facility is now almost fully refurbished.
The building was erected in the 70s of the last century and has never been modernized since that time. Thereby, it needed immediate renewal of elevation and fittings to be adapted to present safety regulations. New interiors, fittings (including air-conditioning and solar installations) and elevation were provided for the building within the renewal. The new installation will enable to reduce power costs by 64% and energy consumtion will be lowered by 82%.
The 38-meter tall building is located at 41A Powstańców St. The total value of the project amounts to PLN 13,86 million and is co-financed by the European Union. The investment process has to be finished by the end of the first half of 2015, according to the official schedule.
