Construction works on the new part of Silesia City Center (SCC) started 7 moths ago. Today, a raw skeleton of characteristic oval elevation of the extended part finally can be seen. The new building will be finished in autumn 2011.
According to the project manager of the extension, DIL Polska Baumanagement, the semicircled elevation should be concluded in summer. It will be made of glass, aluminium and ceramic elements forming an open-work “screen”. It will enround a car park located on the roof of new SCC.
The shopping center will grow by 30 percent to cover area of 86 000 sq. meters and increase number of sales units to 310. About 500 people will be employed in the extended part. Erbud S.A. is responsible for the construction works.
