PKP renovates Ligota railway station

Polish State Railways (PKP) will renovate the railway station’s building of the Ligota district. The company will spent gross PLN 2,89 million for the works. Prime contractor of the undertaking has been already chosen.

The one-storey building covers the net area of 633 sq. meters and is located at 1 Franciszkańska St. After the refurbishment, the railway station will get new interiors, elevation of zinc and titanium plates as well as new surroundings including 17 parking places. The whole infrastructure will be adapted for disabled people.

Part of the interiors will be disposed for the seat of municipal police and the „Żelazny” Theater which has been operating in the building since 2012. A relier of Stefan Suberlak will be renovated as well.

The renovation project was prepared by the „Wandachowicz-Kashyna Architekci” studio from Poznań. The investment is financed from the internal funds of PKP and from the state budget. The renovation works will be launched in the turn of the second and the third quarter this year. The POL-REM company from Myszków, which is the prime contractor, will have 50 weeks to conduct the renovation.
