The abandoned facility, reaching 72 meters and covering 17 000 sq. meters, will be sold for PLN 29 million. The asking price amounted to PLN 14,22 million. Two companies took part in the tender procedure. The second bidder was DL Invest Group.

“We are very glad that the tender procedure was decided for the sale of the property located at 1 Roździeńskiego Av. It was one of the most interesting offers of our portfolio this year. Now we are waiting to sign a notarial deed as the conclusion of the selling process” – said Grzegorz Tomaszewski, director of the real estate selling department of PKP S.A.

TDJ Estate invests in industrial, commercial, office and agricultural properties as well as in lands intended for development. It is controlled by TDJ S.A., the Katowice seated company which is a major shareholder of Famur Group – the biggest in Poland and a significant world manufacturer of mining machinery and equipment.

“DOKP” covers 17 211 sq. meters of usable space and was raised in 1974. The 18-storey building is located on a 0,72 ha plot in the close proximity of “Spodek” – the Katowice most famous icon – and the cultural district being currently under construction. The total worth of investments in this area exceeds PLN 1 billion. Additionally, the immobility is situated along the agglomeration’s Inner Relief Road (DTŚ).

According to the City’s study of land use conditions and directions, the plot is destined for mixed-use purposes (office, hotel, retail, services). A high-rise development is also allowed at the subjected site.
