From 24th to 27th September 2012, the II European Congress of Small and Medium – Size Enterprises will take place in Katowice. Within the framework of this year’s edition, 50 discussion panels are planned including over 250 speakers from Poland and abroad with approximately 3500 participants.
The Honorary Patronage over the II European SME Congress is taken by: President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission and President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz. The works of the Honorary Committee are leaded by Jerzy Buzek and Janusz Steinhoff, Chairman of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice.
Themes of this year’s Congress are focused on four areas: Modern management in SME, Internationalization of enterprises – From local to the world without boundaries, Innovations for SME, Economic self-government and local self-government. Main aim of the meeting will be to pass information on the present challenges for entrepreneurs in all management – related processes taking place in a company. During the particular panels, experts and experienced managers of Polish and European enterprises will present current trends and directions in management, which constitute everyday concerns for all entrepreneurs.
12 subject sessions and 30 discussion panels, 23 foreign delegations, together – over 2,5 thousand participants from Poland and abroad – these are the statistics of the last year’s I European Congress of SME.
The Services and Products for Small and Medium – Size Enterprises “Biznes Expo” Fair will traditionally accompany the European Congress of SME. Last year, 70 exhibitors and 2 thousand visitors participated in the Fair, which became a meeting place of representatives of companies, scientists and self – government authorities. The Fair will take place at the University of Silesia on 25th – 26th September 2012.
