RD Bud commences works on B&B Hotel

B&B Hotels announced to begin its first project in Katowice. Works on the hotel were already launched at the junction of Sokolska and Opolska streets.

The new building will border upon the Silesian Philharmonic’s seat. The economy class, 7-storey hotel will offer 105 rooms, including rooms for disabled guests and family rooms. Also, an underground car park – located under the building – will be put at guests disposal. Architectural design of the building was prepared by Arbapol from Kraków.

The hotel is expected to be opened in 2016. RD Bud headquartered in Warsaw was appointed to conduct the construction work. The company previously built B&B hotels in Munich, Berlin, Warsaw, Wrocław and Toruń.

„While making the decision about the investment in Katowice, the management board of the company was convinced by the high dynamic of the region development. The growing number of visitors – both investors and sightseers – is a challenge for Katowice in the context of hotel infrastructure. Thereby the B&B company used the favourable conditions for the chain expansion” – said Beatrice Bouchet, president of the board of B&B Hotels Poland.

The B&B Hotels Group was established in France in 1990, where it is now the third largest hotel chain. B&B Hotels are 2-star economic facilities offering individual design of each of the buildings. Besides France, where the company owns 241 hotels, the B&B Hotels Group has rolled-out its model in Germany (74), Italy (23), Poland (3), Spain (3), Morocco (1) and in the Czech Republic (1).
