Skanska is preparing to open the first building of Silesia Business Park. At the same time, works are more and more advanced on a core structure of the second building.
About 150 workers and 12 companies are currently involved in the construction process of Silesia Business Park. The first building of the complex will be delivered in the middle of November, while the second facility is scheduled for the opening in the turn of Q3 and Q4 2015.
The interior finishing of the leasable area and arrangement of the „A” building’s surroundings is almost done. Works on water and sewage system as well as on other fittings are highly advanced. Ventilation, cooling and smoke venting systems were mounted on the roof. Also, the installation of the three-colored elevation and windows has been concluded. At the opposite site, the fourth storey of the „B” building’s elevator core is already under construction. First concrete prefabricated parts of the ground floor should be erected in the weeks to come.
Each of the four buildings will be equipped with solutions, which will contribute to the comfort of the complex’s future occupants. These will include a 30% higher amount of fresh air in working areas (40 cu. meters/h/person of fresh air) than is usually found in office buildings. Furthermore, bicycle parking spaces with sanitation designed for cyclists (shower cubicles and locker rooms) as well as a canteen, cafeteria and numerous sales and service points will be developed in the complex.
Silesia Business Park will be certified in the LEED system with a Gold rating. The architectural design of office buildings was prepared by the Medusa Group architectural studio. Skanska S.A. is the prime contractor while Skanska Property Poland is responsible for the commercialization of the complex. Silesia Business Park is being built along Chorzowska St.
