Skanska S.A. already marked halfway point of works on the first building of Silesia Business Park (SBP).
Construction of the 6th floor is now underway while concrete works on a shaft reached the 8th floor. The fast pace of the development is being set through the use of pre-fabricated concrete elements as beams and floor/ceiling plates. „The first building of Silesia Business Park will be topped out in April this year” – said Mariusz Wieczorek, project manager, Skanska Property Poland. Each of the four buildings of SBP will be 12-storey high (plus two levels of a car park) with its top at the height of 60 meters.
The entire office complex will be built in accordance with the innovative, green technologies enabling to minimize their impact on the environment and also to benefit tenants with significantly lower maintenance costs, including energy and water bills.
The first building is scheduled to be ready for use in Q4 2014. The first tenant, Service Delivery Center of PwC, will move into its new office in November.
The complex was designed by the Medusa Group architectural studio and its general contractor is Skanska S.A. Skanska Property Poland is in charge of commercialization.
