Skanska intends to sell five office complexes in five European cities – including the one located in Katowice. The sale would be concluded this year.
The five office projects are located in Prague, Bucharest, Kraków, Poznań and Katowice, according to the PropertyEU portal. Last year, the Swedish developer Skanska sold a record nine properties in Central and Eastern Europe worth approximately EUR 330 million. Nicklas Lindberg, president at Skanska Commercial Development, said: „We recognise great potential for further growth in countries such as the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and, of course, Poland.”
The developer sees the opportunity of successful cooperation with new international investors which have not invested in Central and Eastern Europe yet. “In 2015, we are planning to deepen our relationships with financial institutions from Europe and USA, as well as the Middle East and Asia. We will, of course, continue our successful cooperation with regional funds which are becoming increasingly active in the CEE” – said Adrian Karczewicz, transaction director at Skanska CDE, quoted by PropertyEU.
The company has one office scheme in Katowice called Silesia Business Park. Skanska Property Poland’s first investment on the City’s office market has been officially opened this week. Skanska S.A. is now working on the building B of the business park, which will be commissioned for use at the beginning of Q3 2015. The next two are in the planning phase. Each of four buildings of Silesia Business Park will provide approximately 12 000 sq. meters on 12 storeys. The first office facility was erected at 152 Chorzowska St.
