Sopra Steria Polska is a global provider of IT services and solutions. Its key clients include businesses and public institutions looking for ways to improve their performance and earnings. It has 37 000 employees in more than 20 countries, including over 800 staff in its Katowice’s office.

„Through the renewal of our office space lease in Altus for a few more years we can now comfortably plan the development of our company, especially as we intend to increase our headcount to 1 000 people next year. Benefiting from the technical conditions that the building offers we can provide top-notch services, which is of key importance on the IT market” – said Marek Andrzejuk, head of Shared Services, Sopra Steria Polska.

„Sopra Steria’s transaction is one of the largest leases in the Katowice market this year. As high-tech companies require appropriate technical facilities and flexible solutions, the choice of an office can affect efficiency of business operations” – said Robert Karniewski, partner and director of Regional Markets, Office Agency of Colliers International.

Altus is located in the very heart of Katowice, at the junction of Uniwersytecka and Piastowska streets, in close proximity to the sports and concert hall „Spodek” and the new culture district. The complex comprises three interconnected cuboids sharing a large atrium. With 30 floors and 125 metres in height, it is the tallest skyscraper in the Upper Silesia region and the fourth tallest building in Poland outside Warsaw. Weather permitting, Altus can be seen from a distance of 100 km. Altus offers nearly 70 000 sq. meters, including more than 15 000 sq. meters of class A office space. It has been owned by Izera since 2013.

„Altus is a state-of-the-art office building in Upper Silesia and I am very pleased that Sopra Steria Polska has decided to stay with us being confident that the building meets all its requirements” – said Maciej Jaglarz, the owner of Altus.

„I’m glad that Sopra Steria appreciates the positive changes in Altus and chose to remain its anchor tenant. Lease negotiations have shown how important it is to understand clients’ needs and to have a flexible approach to changing business requirements of tenants. In addition, the combination of various functions in such an attractive location, including a hotel, restaurants, a fitness club and stores, distinguishes Altus in the Polish market” – said Krzysztof Misiak, partner, head of Regional Cities team in the Office Department of Cushman & Wakefield.
