A one year ago the Centrum Development&Investments (CDI) property developer presented the project of Supersam – a new retail scheme located on Piotra Skargi Sq. in the City Center. After the pressure of the voivodeship building conservation officer, the company had to modify the previous project to preserve a part of unique steel, weld construction of the existing Supersam market hall raised in 1937.
“At present, CDI collects necessary administration permits and it will take a few months. Meanwhile, we have started a commercialization process. The number of tenants and pre-lease agreements will be substantial while applying for financing. Thereby, it is difficult to state an exact date of construction works’ start, we would like to launch the ground works in 2011, the most possible is the second half of the year” – said Maja Stachowiak, representative of CDI.
The new building of Supersam will deliver 46 000 sq. meters of space including 20 000 sq. meters for retail units and 400 parking places for vehicles. The architectural design was prepared by Konior Studio. The interiors were created by Benoy Architects.
“The design and the total space of Supersam are still the same. However, some office space may be included in the offer” – she added.
A total cost of investment is valued at EUR 80 million.
