Today, the City Council of Katowice passed the budget for 2011. A total income will amount PLN 1 billion 424 million, total expenditures will be at around PLN 1 billion 815 million. Nearly PLN 191 million of the PLN 391 million budgetary deficit will be covered from the European Investment Bank (EIB). It is estimated that PLN 42,9 million of capital expenditures will be spent for the first stage of the City Center redevelopment.
The City of Katowice is preparing a budget for the next year. Instead of a weaker economic situation in the country during last two years, Katowice will increase capital expenditures for investments in 2011 which will be higher for about PLN 120 million in comparison to 2010.
This year the capital expenditures are estimated at PLN 532 million. In 2011 Katowice will spent PLN 652 million for investments

The City Hall presented an initial capital structure for 2010. The budget income is estimated for PLN 1 bln 291 million. It is more for about PLN 19 mln in comparison with 2009. A deficit amount is predicted at level of approx. PLN 280 mln. To sustain a reliability for banks and investors, the City plans to save a budget surplus which reach PLN 95 mln (in the record-breaking 2007 it was PLN 290 mln).
Katowice has passed the budget for the year 2009. The outgoings are estimated for 1 billion and 660 millions złotys. The earnings are 1 billion and 400 millions złotys which half of this amount is a capital expenditure. The 20 millions is appropriated for the City Center redevelopment.
