On Tuesday, 14th of September, the building of Silesian Philharmonic had been handed over to the prime contractor, the consortium of Mostostal Warszawa SA and Acciona Infraestructuras SA, and an extension started. The usable area of the existing building (3 186 sq. m) will be increased by 2 066 sq. meters to reach the total surface of 5 252 sq. m. after the modernization.
Erbud was chosen as a prime contractor and will conduct construction works of new Silesia City Center (SCC). A contract agreement was signed today and amounts PLN 126,5 million. The construction works will start on 6th of September 2010 and will take a one year – Erbud has to finish its works until 6th of September 2011. At present, preparatory works are progressing at the construction site.
A one year ago Immoeast AG – today part of Immofinanz Group – officially informed about plans of Silesia City Center (SCC) extension, the biggest shopping center in the region. After five years of activity and high popularity (13,25 million customers last year which spent PLN 1 billion), SCC will grow by 30 percent to cover area of 86 000 sq. meters and increase number of sales units to 310.
