The extension of Silesia City Center was started in September. New SCC will be raised at the back of the existing building. Construction works are currently embracing a ground preparation for an underground car park. The 5,5 meters deep excavation site covers about 12 700 sq. meters. The range of works will be expanded along with the progress of construction works. Substituted parking places in the area are delivered for costumers use during the extension.
On 6th of September construction works of new Silesia City Center (SCC) were launched. At present, ground works are progressing at level -1 where an underground car park for approximately 900 vehicles will be developed. Together with existing underground parking spaces, it will be the biggest car park located under the ground in Katowice (1 700 places).
Erbud was chosen as a prime contractor and will conduct construction works of new Silesia City Center (SCC). A contract agreement was signed today and amounts PLN 126,5 million. The construction works will start on 6th of September 2010 and will take a one year – Erbud has to finish its works until 6th of September 2011. At present, preparatory works are progressing at the construction site.
A one year ago Immoeast AG – today part of Immofinanz Group – officially informed about plans of Silesia City Center (SCC) extension, the biggest shopping center in the region. After five years of activity and high popularity (13,25 million customers last year which spent PLN 1 billion), SCC will grow by 30 percent to cover area of 86 000 sq. meters and increase number of sales units to 310.
An advance selling of a third stage of the Oak Terraces (Dębowe Tarasy) housing estate has started. First sales agreements were already secured. Except the new offer, last several apartments of the second stage are still available. Former two stages of the estate embraced two 11-storey and four 4-storey buildings which were commissioned in 2008. These six residential facilities delivered 510 apartments.
