Balzola wins another contract in Katowice

Balzola has won a tendering procedure for the modernization of tram trackways on Kościuszki St. The consortium made of Spanish company and its Polish subsidiary was chosen by Tramwaje Śląskie, a management body of the tram infrastructure in the Katowice agglomeration.

The price offered by Balzola amounts to PLN 31,16 million and is the lowest from amongst seven bids. The company also proposed the maximum guarantee period – ten years.

Two design projects of GKS Katowice stadium

The City Hall of Katowice presented two architectural concepts of the new football stadium of GKS Katowice. At first, the projects were shown to supporters of the club last Friday. Today, the visualizations were revealed publicly.

The projects were prepared by the Bauren architectural studio. According to a contract, the architects were to design two different concepts of the stadium where stands form one, closed structure and lightings are placed on the roof.

Stadium of GKS Katowice will be redesigned

The City Hall of Katowice invites bids to prepare a two-variant project of redesign of the GKS Katowice football club’s stadium. The project has to include a previous design prepared by Modern Construction Systems Sp. z o.o.

The company had presented the project where all four stadium’s stands were free-standing facilities. Supporters of GKS Katowice suggested to build in four corners between the stands, what would enable to increase the stadium’s capacity

Last days a swimming baths complex called “Bugla” was delivered in the Załęże district. The renovated complex was improved by a new water cleaning and heating system, water chute and sanitary facilities. The investment costs are estimated at PLN 15,7 million.

Much more expensive will be a redevelopment of the “GKS Katowice” football stadium. Planned works will cost about PLN 111 million and include a development of four new covered stands for 17 800 seats.
