Katowice’s investment potential was the theme of the “It is worth to invest in” conference which took place in Katowice on 12th of May 2010. Prospective investors interested in new projects, representatives of companies already investing in Katowice, authorities, experts, IBM managers and journalists participated in the meeting organized by the Katowice City Hall and the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland.
The construction works of Katowice Business Point structure are going to an end and any day now the last beam will be placed at the roof of eleventh storey. Only a one crane left at the construction site. Scaffolds covered the building walls and workers are currently focused on a glassy elevation. The back elevation is already finishing off with stone slabs. The interiors are going through with partition walls and airing fittings.
At a time when all real estate markets have slowed down and the authorities of Katowice are trying to attract investors to the city, Ghelamco is building one of the few modern office buildings that can be found in the city at Chorzowska Street. Agencies, which have been chosen by the developer for commercialization of the project, are King Sturge and DTZ.
King Sturge, a property consultants agency extended a contract with PZU for a rent of 2 500 sq. m in the Millenium Plaza office building. The contract was extended for the next four years. Decisive factor was a localization of the building which is well known among costumers of PZU. Moreover, the area of 330 sq. m will be occupied by Karbonia Polska (142 sq. m) and Det Norske Veritas (182 sq. m).
