Altus sold for PLN 185 million

The Izera company won today an auction for the acquisition of Altus. The tallest building in Katowice will be sold for PLN 185 million.

Izera is owned and represented by Maciej Jaglarz, Katowice businessman and owner of “Nowe Katowickie Centrum Biznesu“, “Separator” and other facilities located across the City and in other locations in Poland.

The initial prices for the high-rise building were estimated at PLN 260,2 million in February and PLN 195,17 million in May this year.

New elevation of former KCB emerges

Builders conducting works on the former Business Center of Katowice (“Katowickie Centrum Biznesu”, KCB) have commenced to remove scaffoldings and a new facade of the office building became partially uncovered.

The elevation is mostly made of green glass and granite stone’s plates. Light-coloured plates are used on the upper floors and a black stone is being laid on the lower part of the building. The architectural design of KCB was prepared by the “Arkat” studio from Katowice.

Former KCB is getting new elevation and fittings

The so called Business Center of Katowice (“Katowickie Centrum Biznesu”, KCB) is turning from an abandoned concrete construction into a modern office building. Works are being underway in all parts of the facility and the investor announces to deliver the building this year.

About 200 workers from fifteen different building companies conduct the construction work presently. The “Alam” firm is responsible to coordinate the development as a prime contractor.

Katowickie Centrum Biznesu will be completed

The Business Center of Katowice (Katowickie Centrum Biznesu, KCB), an office building located in the very heart of the City not far away from “Spodek” and the roundabout, was an inglorious icon of “unfinished business” for many years. Now, it seems that the building will be completed at last. Maciej Jaglarz, a businessman and owner of the “Separator” office building at 2 Korfantego Av. and co-owner of the “Profi-Lingua” language schools’ chain, bought the KCB and want to change its gloomy history.
