From amongst two companies which had submitted proposals for construction of two underground car parks in the City Center of Katowice in July this year – it was Leosepte based in Warsaw and a consortium coordinated by Mota-Engil Central Europe owned by the Portuguese Mota-Engil group – only the Mota-Engil company decided to conduct further negotiations with the City Hall.

The City Hall has concluded an evaluation of the offer had submitted by Berndorf Bäderbau Sp. z o.o. from Jaworze, Poland. The company, a swimming pool manufacturer, is taking part in the procedure concerning a selection of a private partner wanted to build a water park on Kościuszki St. The investment will be carried out on the public-private partnership (PPP) basis.

Today, on 22nd of July, was the closing date to make offers for development of a water park in Katowice. One company decided to apply for the contract. It is Berndorf Bäderbau Sp. z o.o. from Jaworze, Poland.
The company is a part of the Berndorf Bäderbau Group – a leading manufacturer of swimming pools since 1960 based in Berndorf, Austria – which built over 5 000 pools throughout Europe in a wide variety of sizes and shapes.
Two companies applied for negotiations with the City Hall in the matter of construction of two underground car parks in the City Center of Katowice. The private investors would build the car parks and make profits while the City Hall is to hand over construction plots.
