New runway opened at Katowice Airport

Permission given for new runway at KTW

A permission for use the new runway at the Katowice International Airport (KTW) has been given to the Upper Silesian Aviation Group last week. The first take-off was scheduled for 28th of May this year.

Katowice Airport further expands its infrastructure

From the mid-July, aircrafts arriving at the Katowice International Airport are benefit from a new infrastructure – a new apron and modernized taxiways of code E1, E2 and D. The Upper Silesian Aviation Group, which manages the airport, is now preparing for another investment projects.

Apart from the fore-mentioned newly delivered infrastructure (nearly 15 ha) that has been built by Max Bögl for PLN 81 million, a new runway with a length of 3 200 meters
