Final route revealed of new fast tramline

New trams will twist Katowice

On Tuesday, Tramwaje Śląskie officially presented its latest purchase – a new tram called Twist. The operator of the Upper Silesian network of tram infrastructure now owns the fleet of 30 new vehicles. Each of these cost almost PLN 6 million. Balzola wins another contract in Katowice

Balzola has won a tendering procedure for the modernization of tram trackways on Kościuszki St. The consortium made of Spanish company and its Polish subsidiary was chosen by Tramwaje Śląskie, a management body of the tram infrastructure in the Katowice agglomeration.

The price offered by Balzola amounts to PLN 31,16 million and is the lowest from amongst seven bids. The company also proposed the maximum guarantee period – ten years.
