TDJ Estate will create new prospects for business in .KTW

The newest investment development of TDJ Estate was presented during the 8th European Economic Congress last week. The project named .KTW will be composed of two buildings covering a total leasable area of 61 800 sq. meters, what will make it the largest office scheme in the city.

.KTW will be erected in the place of the former DOKP building situated at 1 Roździeńskiego Av. The name KTW is commonly used abbreviation for Katowice, the dot suggests an end of the old history of this place and beginning of something new.

The first building .KTW I will reach 66 meters (14 storeys) and will offer 18 250 sq. meters of office space and 1 560 sq. meters of retail space. The tower .KTW II will be 133 meters in height (31 storeys), in which 39 900 sq. meters of offices and 2 100 sq. meters of retail areas are designed. A 3-storey underground car park will be built under the both buildings. Medusa Group from Bytom is responsible for the architectural project of the complex.

„Location next to the legendary venue known as Spodek and the Culture Zone will enhance a unique offer of .KTW in the scope of commercial space thanks to both the quality of the project and its surroundings” – the investor says.

Several amenities as postal services, financial services, medical center, laundry, cafe, canteen and changing room equipped with shower for cyclists are planned in the buildings. Also, the office complex will be BREEAM certified with the expected „Very Good” mark.

The plot where the complex will be built, with a surface of 0,7 ha, has been purchased by TDJ Estate for PLN 29 million November 2013. In December 2015, the investor obtained a permit to build the office complex. The former DOKP was demolished in the meantime.

The construction work on the first building of .KTW is expected to be commenced in June. TDJ Estate is now finalizing last negotiations with a prime contractor. The name of the company should be known in the weeks to come. The works will take approximately two years in case of .KTW I. The second building will be erected within the next stage of the undertaking.
