Transaction concluded between TDJ and PKP

TDJ Estate has concluded the transaction to purchase the „DOKP” building. The seller, Polish State Railways, sold the property for PLN 29 million.

The limited tender procedure for the sale of „DOKP” was decided at the beginning of November last year. The final price doubled the asking price. TDJ Estate was one of two bidders. Now the company informed that the transaction was closed in December and the firm is the outright owner of „DOKP”.

„At present, we are checking the soil condition as well as of the building structure what will enable us to make a decision about the project’s future shape. We are thinking about several possible scenarios but the most possible is the demolition of „DOKP” and erection of a new building. The company is determined to create a completely new image and quality of the property and we will be able to tell more after the completion of analysis” – said Maciej Wójcik, CEO of TDJ Estate.

72-meters high “DOKP” covers 17 211 sq. meters of usable space and was raised in 1974. The 18-storey building is located at 1 Roździeńskiego Av. on a 0,72 ha plot in the close proximity of “Spodek” and the cultural district being currently under construction.

TDJ Estate invests in industrial, commercial, office and agricultural properties as well as in lands intended for development. It is controlled by TDJ S.A., the Katowice seated company which is a major shareholder of Famur Group – the biggest in Poland and a significant world manufacturer of mining machinery and equipment.
