Stern and Alder office buildings have been assessed to the BREEAM certificate and achieved an Excellent score. These are the second and third building of GPP Business Park certified within the assessment.
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) is the world’s leading and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings. Every office building applying for the certificate has to be assessed in compliance with ten categories. The twin buildings scored particularly well in the management, health and wellbeing, transport and land use and ecology categories. Finally, Stern and Alder obtained the Excellent rating with the overal score of 76,2%.
Buro Happold was responsible for the certification assessment process. The buildings were designed by Group-Arch and AT Architectura Tomasz Tumas. Spec Bau was responsible for the construction process.
In September 2013, the certificate was given to the Goeppert-Mayer first building of GPP Business Park with the highest available rating – Outstanding. It was the second building in Europe outside UK and the first building in Poland with such a high mark.
Stern and Alder are located at 35 and 37 Konduktorska St. respectively. The developer of the buildings is the Upper Silesian Industrial Park (GPP).
