Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced further enhancements to its low fare route network from the Katowice International Airport. One destination in Scotland and one in the Netherlands will be added.
Flights to Glasgow and Maastricht will be started on 26th and 28th of October respectively. Wizz Air will operate the new services two times a week – on Wednesday and Sunday to Glasgow, and on Tuesday and Saturday to Maastricht. Fares start from PLN 119 and PLN 79 respectively.
Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and the third largest in the United Kingdom. It is one of Europe’s most vibrant, dynamic and stylish cities, which has been named the number one UK destination “on the rise” by the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor. From 23rd of July to 3rd of August 2014, the city will host the XX Commonwealth Games.
Maastricht, Wizz Air’s 98th destination, is located in the South of the Netherlands and is the birthplace of the European Union and the Euro currency. While it’s one of the oldest Dutch cities, it also has one of the youngest populations with students from all over Europe.
