An agreement between Hines Polska and Polish State Railways (PKP) was signed last year in December. An aim of the co-partnership is to develop an office scheme near “Spodek” in Katowice.

As we can find out, Hines was quite active in the matter of the project during last months. – We have already obtained an environmental approval and a valid planning consent for this development. – says Przemysław Iznerowicz, Project Manager at Hines. – At present, we are preparing all the necessary documentation to file a motion for a building permit. For now, we don’t want to make any statements about the construction works start as the administrative procedures are not finished yet. – he explained. – The project is named “Rondo Towers”. The smaller tower will raise 90 metres, the second one will be 125 meters tall. – Przemysław Iznerowicz finished.

Rondo Towers will be developed in the area of “Spodek” and the biggest Katowice’s roundabout. The localization is placed in the heart of the City at 1 Roździeńskiego Av. The first phase of the project assumes to redevelop the existing “DOKP” building which is currently occupied by PKP Cargo S.A. among others. The second phase is to build beside a new office tower. Rondo Towers will deliver 64 000 sq. m of rentable space. A concept design was prepared by Murphy/Jahn architectural studio.
