There were six bidders willing to build the educational facility – the lowest price for the execution of the construction work was proposed by Mostostal Warszawa (PLN 19,53 million). The public procurement department of the university has been checking the six offers in accordance with the tendering terms over the last few weeks. Three out of the six bidders – including Mostostal Warszawa – were excluded from the procedure as the companies did not accomplish formalities.

The three remaining building firms (Budimex: PLN 34,5 million, Mostostal Zabrze: PLN 26,8 million, Unimax: PLN 29,5 million) were taken into consideration and their offers were evaluated. The most preferred bid with the lowest price was made by Mostostal Zabrze and the company will soon sign a contract for the execution of the construction work with the university.

According to the public procurement department, the contract should by signed by the end of July this year. The prime contractor will have 18 months to deliver the Radio and Television Faculty’s new seat.

The building will be the first facility of UniverCity, an academic district to be created in the area of Pawła, Wodna and Górnicza streets by 2018.
