Skanska is finishing works on the first building of Silesia Business Park. First tenant will move into the office facility in November. The eye-catching 7 700 sq. meters elevation is almost done and the logo of the anchor tenant has already appeared at the top of the building. The construction of the second phase was also started.

Construction crew of Skanska has almost dismantled the entire scaffolding and uncovered the elevation, which is being made of aluminium profiles, glass and decorative, non-transparent strips of white, black and so-called Spectra Red Brass lacquered aluminium. The last colour is a fusion of red and gold, what creates an eyecatching effect as the profile changes colours depending on the incidence angle of light.
The interior finishing of the leasable area and management of the building’s surroundings are also well underway. The installation includes such modern solutions as: air conditioning system based on four-pipe fancoils, individual temperature and air flow control, humidity control, a possibility of fitting the server room with split conditioning.
Additionally, the building will be equipped with the latest modern solutions typical for energy-efficient facilities: free-cooling system, energy-saving lighting system with motion sensors in the common areas, effective water use due to water-saving fixture, low-emitting materials, locally sourced and recycled materials, efficient waste management and power supply sources for electric cars.
The solutions will enable to save: 25% of energy in comparison with traditional buildings, 35% of water, up to 70% of energy consumption for office lighting thanks to LED technology and modern control, and will enable for over 75% waste reduction due to use of local and recycled materials.
There will be five lifts in the building – 3 lifts for 13 people and 2 lifts for 24 people, bike parks, showers as well as a changing room for cyclists. Tenants will get a possibility of coding the access to the dedicated floors.
Silesia Business Park is being built along Chorzowska St. opposite Silesia City Center.
