Wizz Air adds new route from Katowice to Norway

Wizz Air, the largest low fare – low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe announced today that it will open one new service from Katowice to Norway, namely to Stavanger, starting on 25th of April 2012.

The new services will operate twice per week initially. Tickets are already on sale at wizzair.com. The airline also flies to Norway’s Oslo Sandefjord Torp from Katowice International Airport.

Wizz Air offers flights to 20 major European cities from Katowice where the carrier has one of its fifteen operating base. The history of Wizz Air is also connected with the airport as the first airline’s flight took off on 19th of May 2004 from Katowice.

Wizz Air carried over 11 million passengers in 2011, representing 15% growth year on year. It offers over 200 routes across Europe. The total number of Wizz Air routes from Poland will increase to 79 in the coming summer season. On top of this, Wizz Air becomes the largest carrier between Poland and Norway with 35 weekly flights.
