The Katowice School of Technology (WST) officially inaugurated an academic year this week. Thanks to PLN 24,26 million, students and academic careers moved in to a newly refurbished and extended educational facility at 43 Rolna St. Most of the amount, almost PLN 20 million, was financed by the EU funds from the European Regional Development Fund.
The School covers approximately 12 100 sq. meters after the extension. The project was prepared by the “Atelier PS” architectural studio. The construction work was conducted by PBOiUT “Śląsk” Sp. z o.o. Within the framework of the extension, two stand-alone buildings were refurbished, raised by one floor and connected by a newly built facility where a two-storeyed spacious lobby, exhibition areas and a lecture hall were situated. Also, the School was equipped with new furnitures and computer hardware.
The Undergraduate School of Technology in Katowice was founded in 2003 by Arkadiusz Hołda. As a private school offers bachelor and master studies on several fields as an architecture and town planning, civil engineering, interior design and media.
